About the Role: We are looking for a Facility Mechanic Professional to join our Pharm-Bio Facility Team. In this role, you will be part of a team that manages the building and major building infrastructure for a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant. You will also be expected to provide occasional support for additional buildings as well as support projects that our Facilities Team Members are engaged in. You will work with other members of the team including engineers, maintenance technicians, contractors, and building services associates with the ability to partner with facilities teams to manage and improve the plant infrastructure. The preferred working hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m with some level of flexibility. This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. Pay and Benefits:
  • $ 35.00 - $ 47.00 per hour
  • This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:
  • B e passionate about working with and optimizing the Facility Infrastructure Systems
  • Recognize the importance of building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships
  • Be self-motivated, with a high level of initiative and a proactive approach
  • Drive preventative maintenance activities on plant infrastructure systems and equipment inclusive of chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, boilers, air compressors, exhaust fans, etc
  • Manage contracted services where required to support equipment repairs, calibrations, and/or maintenance activities throughout our facilities
  • Utilize CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management system), Quality Systems Software and a ccurately document and sign off on completed maintenance activities including time, parts used, and description of work performed
  • Work with engineers, consultants, and contractors on support of plant infrastructure
  • Provide feedback and input on preventative maintenance tasks for better execution
  • Provide off-shift and weekend coverage as necessary to provide hands on support for equipment and ongoing projects that support manufacturing
  • Commit to continuous personal development aligned with current commitments and business goals
Required Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in a Mechanical Discipline or Journey Level Mechanical Skills
  • Willingness to obtain Grade 3 Stationary Engineering License for State of Maryland
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial environment with a focus on facilities
  • Experience with rotating machinery, pumps, fans, bearings, pipe fitting, and equipment installation
  • Desktop computer skills coupled with basic understanding of networking and operating systems
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Fundamental understanding of OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and local building codes
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to; safety glasses, safety shoes, harness, etc
  • Experience with Contractor Management
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Contractor Management
  • Experience with industrial equipment including; air handlers, chillers, compressed air systems, water treatment systems
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (Trane Tracer, Trane Ensemble, Andover) and the a bility to read/understand building drawings
