POSITION: Facility Operations ManagerFull Time FACILITY: Corpus Christi Multi Sports ComplexREPORTS TO:CEOSummary: Responsible for the daily activities required to operate, maintain, schedule and program the Corpus Christi Stadium and Multi Sports Complex by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors and/or subcontracted services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES Include the following - other duties may be assigned.Supervises operation ofCorpus Christi Stadium And Multi Sports Complex Manages the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and promotion of comprehensive youth and adult programs and services.Develop new revenue sources for the facility that maximize the time and space of the venue. Supervises program and facility staff members, including scheduling, training, evaluations, and hiring. Motivates and promotes an excellent customer service attitude in employees.Supervises scheduling and reservations of tournaments, camps and events at facilities.Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions; investigates, analyzes and resolves facility problems and complaints. Develops policies and procedures, programs, and objectives for leisure, recreation, and facilities.Develops, recommends and implements technical and operational procedures and systems to achieve improved economy and efficiency in complex operations.Develops and implements a customer service approach to create an exceptional overall experience.Inspects and monitors all major programs, services, staff, and facilities on a regular basis to evaluate quality and efficiency of operations and systems and compliance with operational standards.Defines issues, collects data, analyzes information and evaluates alternative solutions.Researches and develops new programs, operating procedures and revenue sources, and develops funding proposals.Prepares and monitors compliance with the facilities budget.Maintains financial records, including revenue and fees generated by programs, program operational costs, facility revenue and expense schedules, budget projections, and analyses.Negotiates and monitors vendor and concession contracts and operations.Supervises implementation and enforcement of risk management and safety policies, regulations, and procedures.Monitors accident, incident, and emergency situation reports; escalates as necessary.Participates in the development, implementation, evaluation and enforcement of facility policies, procedures, and standards. Interprets, explains, and enforces federal, state, county and city laws, rules and regulations.Makes periodic written and oral reports, including budget updates and projections, and special reports to the management team.Researches, prepares and administers grant applications for recreation facilities, improvement projects and programs.Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Next Sports Company policies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: overseeing on-site security / front desk, facility cleaning services, concessions, staff schedules and addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Recreation, Sports Management, Public Administration, or a related field.An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required. Qualified candidate must be able to interact with all levels of staff including management and effectively supervise staff. Knowledge of basic computer skills including but not limited to; Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Active net, and use of the internet.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as necessitated. Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member. Knowledge and experience in figure skating, hockey, gymnastics, or wellness programs preferred. Ability to participate in sports activities / programming associated with a sports center preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
