Summary:
The Screener & Entrance Monitor role ( Screener ) is a new position created to help Covenant HealthCare comply with COVID-19 guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Executive Orders and other published government regulations.
The Screeners will monitor an assigned entrance at designated locations within Covenant HealthCare. This Screener is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure healthcare environment by performing COVID-19 screening for all people entering the Covenant facility including patients, employees, vendors and guests.
The Screener is responsible and accountable for a variety of supportive tasks. The Screener demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.
Responsibilities:
Greets all people entering the facility at their designated location
Enforces and explains Covenant Visitor Restriction Policy which is based on published COVID-19 guidelines
Performs cleaning regimen in high traffic designated areas within the lobby
Assures COVID-19 Screening is performed for the safety of patients, employees and guests entering the premises according to established safety guidelines which include:
* Wellness Screening Questions
* Mask Usage
* Hand Sanitizing
* Presentation of Heathy Visitor Sticker
* Provide directions to appropriate destinations
* Explain and Maintain proper social distancing
* Perform proper record keeping measures
* HIPAA Compliant
Ability to manage displeased customers from a variety of backgrounds and personalities in a safe and effective manner using Covenant's WE CARE values.
Other information:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Graduate or equivalent required
6 months experience in relevant field encouraged
CPR Certification encouraged
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Follows directions and works well communicating with leadership.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive issues and material.

Working Conditions/Physical Conditions
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Frequently Stand, walk, use hands, speak, listen and lift up to 10 lbs.
Occasionally sit, lift or carry, push or pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, crawl, twist or reach, taste or smell, near vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, field of vision.
