Job Description:

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) This role will serve as the technical expert on security and government clearances, specifically concerning classified projects for the Department of Defense (DoD), Special Access Programs (SAP) and other special projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and administration all security policies, procedures, and security functions to assure compliance with applicable laws, government regulations, customer requirements and company policies.
  • Arbitrating policy and processes around personnel, clearances, and our facility with Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Interpreting NISP/IC policies; develop and implement security plans and procedures for compliance.
  • Maintain company Cage code(s)
  • Fosters teamwork and collaborative efforts among security group members to ensure timely completion of group project tasks and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for security program reviews to include formal inspections.
  • Investigates security incidents and violations and prepare reports for submittal through the Director of Security to Cognizant Security Authority
  • Develop, maintain and conduct continuous training for all cleared personnel.

Basic Requirements:

  • Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance (current CI polygraph Preferred, not Required)
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP and DOD
  • 5+ years of experience as an FSO
  • Experience with 32 CFR 117 and the NISPOM
  • Previous experience with U.S. government rules and regulations related to security and classified information, to include directives and guidelines of the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.
  • Previous experience maintaining a program facility in accordance with ICD 705 requirements.
  • Previous experience with DISS, e-QIP, NISS, ServiceNow (NBIS).
  • Experience using secure telephone equipment, i.e., COMSEC custodian, or Alt COMSEC custodian.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong interpersonal, oral presentation and writing skills

This position will have access to U.S. export-restricted materials. A successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or able to obtain U.S. authorization from the Dept. of State or the Dept. of Commerce to access such materials.
