We are seeking a candidate who is an excellent team player with a robust eagerness to learn new skills and provide world-class customer service to patients and staff. The Facilities Technician 3 primary responsibility will be to answer calls for beds, wheelchairs, IV pumps, and IV channels par level rounds on patient floor storage areas. You will also help with the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems throughout the assigned facilities. Equipment may include but is not limited to boilers, chillers, pumps, air compressors, emergency generators, pneumatics, air conditioning and refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure to provide utilities necessary for hospital operations. Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and perform general mechanical repairs.

Job Requirements

* High School Diploma required.

* Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred.

* Ability to be flexible with work schedule and work rotating weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

* Perform rounding of all patient care areas to ensure appropriate par levels on wheelchairs, IV pumps and channels are maintained in equipment storage rooms.

* Responsible for answering calls for wheelchairs, beds, IV pumps and Channels being requested for the patient floors

* Inspect all equipment stores equipment for possible damage, and defects and make repairs needs are communicated to the appropriate party to have repairs or replacement in a timely manner.

* Orders rental equipment for patient floors and keeps track of all equipment stores rental equipment to help control unneeded rental time and cost.

* Maintains appropriate communication as needed to facilitate the flow of equipment stores equipment.

* Order correct parts and service items to complete repairs and PM's.

* Assist with implementing materials inventory for supply/equipment distribution and control; Ensures necessary corrective actions and documentation is taken.

* Completes 100% of all scheduled PM's monthly.

* Performs preventive maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronic controls and alarm systems of medical beds and maintain accountable records.

* Communicate clearly and openly with team members

* Assist with relocation of hospital staff

* Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment

* Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations. Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.

* Effectively responds to service requests, competently troubleshoots & repairs patient care beds appropriate to job proficiency level using established productivity & quality measures, demonstrating good judgment on performing repairs based on skill set. Researches and determines the most appropriate repair methods to maintain available resources

* Ability to cover a shift by yourself

* Knows how to take all log reading for the central plant and med gas
