Job Description:
Position Overview: As an Industrial Instrumentation and Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial processes by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems. You will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Responsibilities:
  • Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial instrumentation and control systems such as sensors, transmitters, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS (Distributed Control Systems), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and other related equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Diagnose electrical and instrumentation problems using schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement upgrades, modifications, and new installations to improve process efficiency and reliability.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Comply with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in instrumentation and electrical systems.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Instrumentation and Electrical Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation principles, and control loops.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and technical manuals.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and other industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, ISA, ANSI, API).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls as needed.
