We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Factory Warehouse Associate located at our Southern Pines, NC facility. The hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. The starting rate of pay is $16.23 per hour. Responsibilities include:
  • Moves pallets of returned products from dock area to the staging area, opening boxes, placing products onto the conveyor, and discarding of excess material.
  • Receives and analyzes customer product returns, enters information into Return Goods system for each return.
  • Removes products from the sort conveyor and places them into the correct location. Sorts First 50 and data sample products and places them in identified location.
  • Performs inspection, testing and cycling procedures to determine if products can be refurbished or if they are unusable.
  • Identifies defects and enters information into the Return Goods System.
  • Cleans and inspects parts and units to ensure cleaning standards are met.
  • Packs product and warranty information into carton then feeds through tape machine to seal carton.
  • Operates label glue machine ensuring labels are applied in proper location on carton.
  • Sorts bin boxes of scrap appliances, places onto pallets, sends other scrap to shredder machine for recycling.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Processes orders for HBB products and parts in a safe and efficient manner following standard work instructions.
  • Picks, packs, and processes orders according to customer requests while focusing on quality in a timely and efficient manner. Kits and assembles parts, products, and materials as needed.
  • Operates shipping systems and places processed orders in the finish areas designated to shipping carriers.
  • Performs the fulfillment process in the picking area.
  • Completes proper paperwork and documents. Keeps and maintains records as needed.
  • Performs cycle count audits.
  • Assists with unloading shipping containers and validation of inbound and outbound loads/orders according to packing slip information. Uses the PIER system for validation of inbound loads. Communicates any count discrepancies and non-conforming parts to the Department Manager.
  • Performs housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
  • Cross trains and performs other job duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 months of applicable experience
  • Must be able to read simple instructions, write, and perform math at a competency level sufficient to perform job functions
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to regularly stand, walk continually for up to 8 hours, must also be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds consistently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Forklift Certification is desirable
