Job Summary:The Faculty Human Resources Specialist will be an expert consultant on faculty human resources matters for the Norton College of Medicines Dean Office and the Office of the Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development . The Faculty Human Resources Specialist will work regularly with HumanResources, Medical Staff Services, department assistants, department chairs, faculty, Deans, and all levels of administration as a strategic partner. Will align needs of the Norton College of Medicine and of the faculty by assessing faculty HR needs.Faculty HR Specialist will guide departments in the NCOM with faculty hires, involving all areas of the onboarding process including: position request and posting, advertising, application review, offer letter review, pre-employment checks, coordination of hire date and employment onboarding. Will coordinate with various offices across campus to ensure timely appointments. Will schedule appropriate orientation for faculty. , The Faculty HR Specialist will process various payroll transactions, manage the faculty performance program of renewals/non-renewals, advise on faculty personnel matters, and administer the faculty life insurance benefit.Additionally, this position will also be responsible for the appointment of all voluntary faculty in the COM, respond to internal and external requests for faculty data using the HRIS, will create and maintain confidential personnel records for the COM Faculty via HRIS, electronic and physical means. , and verification of the faculty appointments. Will train departments when needed on all of these faculty appointment processes.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field with at least three years of professional Human Resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experiance, plus excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, analytical, and organizational skills required.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in an academic setting and/or government agencies preferred.Work Days:M-F 8:00 to 4:30Message to Applicants:Salary Range-$65,000-$80,000Recruitment Office: Human Resources
