Faculty Open Rank (Tenure-Track) - Chemical Engineering**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**The Department of Chemical Engineering in the Grove School of Engineering at The City College of New York (CCNY) of the City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking highly qualified candidates for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to be filled at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, to begin in Fall 2025. Outstanding candidates in any research area will be considered. The department has identified the following research target areas: (i) materials engineering, ii) renewable energy, (iii) environmental sustainability, (iv) energy systems integration, (v) bioengineering, and (vi) flexible manufacturing.The Department has active research programs in: Energy & Environment, Materials & Interfaces, and Biomolecules & Biotechnology ( ). The position would form part of the core faculty of the Department of Chemical Engineering with potential affiliation with the Levich Institute ( ) and/or the CUNY Energy Institute ( candidate is expected to contribute to teaching in Chemical Engineering at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and also to develop course offerings related to their expertise. The successful candidate for this position will have the experience, knowledge, and skills to build their research, pedagogy, and curriculum in ways that reflect and enhance this commitment.**QUALIFICATIONS****Minimum Qualifications**Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent as noted below. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, interest in productive scholarship or creative achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.**Preferred Qualifications**The ideal candidate will have the potential to build up and raise funding for a significant R&D program. Those applying for an Associate Professor or Full Professor position should have established records in research that demonstrate nationally and internationally recognized expertise.**COMPENSATION**The following ranges are commensurate with experience and CUNY /PSC contract.**Salary Range** :Assistant Professor: $90,375 - $99,532Associate Professor: $100,329 - $117,805Professor: $119,995 - $132,987CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
