VIDD also carries out first-in-human to advanced stage prevention and treatment studies, and is the headquarters of the HIV Vaccine Trials Network Leadership Centers. The Division is at the forefront of developing pathogen challenge models, including those for malaria and BCG, and investigating pathogens associated with cancer and other critical global health issues.

The successful candidate will possess demonstrated leadership, creativity, passion, and international recognition in their ability to direct innovative basic, translational, and/or clinical collaborative research in infectious diseases of global health importance.

This appointment will be at the rank of a full-time full professor, with primary appointment in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division at Fred Hutch Cancer Center.
