Description The Psychology Department at Berea College invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position in Clinical, Counseling, or Social Psychology, with appointment beginning August 2025. Candidates with the ability to teach courses in both clinical/counseling and social psychology are particularly encouraged to apply, though candidates from either of these backgrounds will be considered. Berea College primarily emphasizes excellence in teaching, mentoring, and advising undergraduate students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with undergraduates in newly renovated laboratory facilities that will include a 64-channel EEG and eye-tracking equipment. Primary teaching responsibilities should include courses in clinical/counseling and/or social psychology, as well as other courses in the candidate's area of expertise. In addition, faculty are typically expected to contribute to Introductory Psychology. The full-time course load is three courses per semester. Candidates must have completed a PhD or the equivalent in clinical, counseling, or social psychology or related discipline by time of appointment (Fall 2025).Applicants should submit their curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, summary of teaching evaluations, a statement of research interests, graduate transcripts and contact information for three references.
