We are seeking a talented Family Assistant to provide support to a HNW Family with two children. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy helping to maintain a tidy home. Someone who was a former housekeeper or Mother's Helper could be a great match for this household! Flexibility and a proactive attitude are essential. This role supports a wonderful family with a fantastic reputation who is looking to hire someone permanently for this position.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, or as a housekeeper, is preferred.
- Live near the Santa Monica area (highly preferred).
- A valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
- A love for dogs and comfort in caring for a family pet.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Must be comfortable with cooking meals.
Responsibilities:
- Keep living spaces tidy and ensure everything is in its proper place.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the home, working alongside other staff.
- Stock and organize household items, closets, and drawers.
- Handle light housecleaning tasks, such as delinting or depilling cashmere and changing reachable lightbulbs.
- Run errands including dry cleaning, pharmacy, and shopping for food, clothes, presents, and flowers/returns.
- Assist with occasional guests by preparing and breaking down sleeping arrangements.
- Handle light clothing care, such as infrequent ironing or handwashing delicate items.
- Assist in putting finishing touches on the house, including setting up air fresheners, candles, and flowers.
- Provide basic care for the family's labradoodle, including scheduling and paying the mobile groomer every two weeks, feeding, and occasional walks.
- Cook high-quality meals, primarily dinners, for the family of four and occasional guests.
- Help with school lunch preparation and organizing lunchboxes and backpacks.
- Assist with assembling children's nut packets.
- Help plan and execute home events or special occasions.
- Let vendors into the home when the family is not present.
- Complete any other household tasks and errands as needed, with no job beneath you.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday with flexible daily hours.
- Occasional weekend or evening hours may be required, with notice.
- Some overnight stays may be needed, with notice.
- Flexibility to trade weekdays or unworked paid days off with occasional late-night, weekend, or in-home overnight shifts.
Compensation:
- $85K base with performance bonus.
- Gas reimbursement for driving responsibilities.
