Responsible for helping to produce and edit high quality content that informs and educates Berlin community members about school activities throughout the district. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides assistance to the BHS Media Department in the production of high quality videos.
  • Participates in the pre-production, production, and post-production process.
  • Provides audio and video assistance for live events held throughout the Berlin School District, including Board of Education live streams, sporting events, graduation, etc.
  • Assists in the production and editing of photos and videos for informative and engaging content for Berlin schools social media channels.
  • Assists in running equipment during recordings held in the BHS Television Studio and Radio Station. Also assists in recordings held both on and off site.
  • Assists professional staff with assemblies, ceremonies, presentations, and meetings by setting up and monitoring audio and video equipment including public address, video projection, video streaming, and broadcasting systems.
  • Assists in the logging and editing of video, audio, and graphics creation.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:
  • Bachelor's Degree with one year of related experience preferred
  • Familiarity with computerized systems, particularly those specific to video production facilities
  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects
  • Some experience with show production and/or technical operations
  • Ability to work well with students, staff and administration
  • Must possess a positive attitude and strong desire to learn and grow in the position
REPORTS TO: BHS Media Production and Technology Specialist TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a part-time job, averaging 15-20 hours per week including some evenings and weekends. The hourly rate is $22/hr and it is not benefit eligible.
