Hours are subject to change based on financial and program requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service Field or Family Development Certification and 3 years of experience preferred.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to develop positive and trusting relationships with targeted families.
- Actively recruit and enroll eligible families to meet and maintain caseload requirements.
- Possess excellent listening skills and problem solving skills.
- Administer required assessments with enrolled families within appropriate time frames.
- Assist target families in developing family plans.
- Plan action steps and use strategies needed to achieve goals in appropriate time frames.
- Maintain and document regular contact with all enrolled families through program exit.
- Maintain documentation of activities and assessments for all families throughout enrollment.
- Attend collaborative meetings with community partners.
- Systematically refer families to resources appropriate for family needs and levels of development.
- Insure that client data remains confidential.
- Establish and maintain positive partnerships with area resource providers.
- Responsible for completing all documentation and necessary recordkeeping within appropriate timeframes
- Submit reports, time and expense sheets and special request at the assigned time.
- Communicate agency philosophy and goals accurately to others.
- Assist in local fund raising efforts and public appearances.
- Creates and maintains positive image through office and personal appearance.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, agency events.
- Ability to complete duties with reasonable accommodation.
- Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must be willing and able to complete Family Development Certification, which includes monthly travel and overnight stay at course site.
- Must complete mandatory reporter training within 6 months of hire and renew every five years.

- Experience in providing supportive services.
- Knowledge of and ability to work with community resources.
- Reliable personal transportation, valid Iowa drivers license and insurance.
- Complete 10 hours of professional development annually.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and travel as appropriate.

- Keep equipment in good working condition.
- Able to complete duties as assigned with reasonable accommodations.
- Maintain confidentiality on all agency services at all times.
- Must submit to Criminal History, Child Abuse and Motor Vehicle Record checks according to company policy.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds often, lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, lift over 20 pounds rarely.
