Position Requirements
- Experience: 1–5 years of experience in family law. Candidates with less than 1 year of experience must demonstrate a strong academic background and relevant family law internships or clerkships.
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- License: Admission to the New York State Bar.
- Skills:
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Effective client communication and counseling abilities.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases efficiently.
- Courtroom or mediation experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in all aspects of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, and prenuptial agreements.
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
- Participate in client consultations and strategy meetings.
- Handle discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case preparation and trial strategies.
