Job Description:

The open position is for a family law attorney at our Dayton office location. This is a newly created position due to our tremendous growth, not a replacement position.

It is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours per week. Our office hours are M-F from 9-5. The candidate must be licensed and in good standing in Ohio. The preferred candidate MUST have experience handling family law cases (DR & JU).

The normal full-time caseload for the position will be between 25-35 cases. The candidate must be able to handle this caseload with autonomy/limited supervision. The candidate must be able to handle prospect telephone calls and convert the prospects to clients. The firm provides a billing department, a legal assistant, front desk receptionist, and a telephone receptionist for incoming calls. The new hire will participate in our internal mentorship program during the initial year of employment.

The ideal candidate is someone looking for a career, not just a job. We are looking for someone that wants to grow with the firm and advance through our partnership track. Partner level can be reached as soon as 8 years for entry level attorneys (1-3 years of family law experience), but can be reached sooner for experienced attorneys. It is a great opportunity for someone that wants a stable, clear career path. Advancement through our partnership track is accomplished by satisfying very reasonable yearly goals, not at the discretion of senior partners. Simply put, production, not politics determines advancement.

Compensation for a full-time attorney is paid through a base salary plus monthly bonuses based on billable hours. Bonuses are expected, not aspirational. Yearly income increases as an attorney advances through the partnership track. Starting salary is commensurate with experience. If the candidate desires to bring a current caseload, then our firm can accommodate.
