Job Description:

A boutique family law firm specializing in mediation, arbitration and litigation is searching for a talented and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join their team in Forest Hills, NY! They are looking for tech-savvy attorney's with at least 5 years of experience in family law to handle a variety of family law cases across multiple counties. This role offers a hybrid work schedule after 90 days, competitive compensation, and opportunities for growth within a collegial and relaxed team setting. Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 / year DOE Family Law Attorney Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in family law, including negotiation and litigation of matrimonial and family court cases
  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited university
  • Admitted to the New York State Bar, with extensive experience in NYC local courts
  • Tech-savvy, capable of using legal software and tools effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and client management skills
  • Team-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and willingness to own and learn from mistakes
  • Able to immediately take over cases and bring in work is a plus
Family Law Attorney Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 25 family law and matrimonial cases
  • Represent clients in court appearances across Kings, Queens, Bronx, Manhattan, Suffolk, and Nassau counties
  • Conduct mediations and arbitrations
  • Draft and review legal documents and motions, with support from the law clerk
  • Interact with clients to provide compassionate and effective legal counsel
  • Supervise the work of support staff and the law clerk
  • Utilize Practice Panther, MS Office, Teams, and Excel for case management and asset/liability analysis
