They offer an innovative environment where attorneys can focus on legal practice while minimizing administrative burdens.Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our clients legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in family law, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division. The Family Law Paralegal will work closely with attorneys to provide high-quality legal support, manage client relationships, and ensure that all legal documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable laws in Georgia.Key ResponsibilitiesCase Management:
    • Assist attorneys in managing family law cases from inception through resolution.
    • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are filed and accessible.
    • Track deadlines, court dates, and ensure timely filings of court documents.
Client Interaction:
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and answering questions.
      • Conduct client interviews and gather necessary information for case preparation.
      • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism and discretion.
Document Preparation:
    • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, discovery requests, and responses.
    • Prepare and organize exhibits for court proceedings.
    • Assist in the preparation of settlement agreements and parenting plans.
Legal Research:
    • Conduct legal research on relevant family law issues.
    • Stay updated on changes in family law statutes, regulations, and case law.
Court Proceedings:
    • Coordinate and schedule court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
    • Prepare trial binders and other materials for court.
    • Assist attorneys during trial by managing exhibits and taking notes.
Financial Documentation:
    • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial documents, including income statements, tax returns, and property appraisals.
    • Work with clients to gather necessary financial information for spousal and child support calculations.
Communication:
    • Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
    • Draft and send correspondence related to cases.
Administrative Support:
    • Perform general administrative tasks such as managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing files.
    • Support billing activities by tracking time spent on cases and preparing invoices.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, or a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on family law.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of family law procedures and legal terminology.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with divorce mediation or collaborative law.
  • Knowledge of local court rules and procedures.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis in the context of family law.
Work Environment
  • This position requires working in a fast-paced legal REMOTE environment.
Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
  • Bonus Opportunities: Available
