UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. - Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established, well-known primary care clinic serving Fort Dodge and surrounding communities

- Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, with a lot of longevity who know the patients and the community extremely well
- Flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
- Support from Partners, Medical Director, Operations Leader, Clinical Leader, Clinical Team, Care Management, Care Coordination, Social Work & Referral Specialist
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
- Leadership development and committee involvement opportunities available
Responsibilities:
- Full-time benefit eligible position, 36 patient contact hours per week
- Average 20-25 patients per day
- No nights or weekends
- No inpatient duties; 24/7 adult and pediatric hospitalist coverage
- Clinic call shared amongst primary care providers
- Currently 1:13 call rotation
- Telephonic call only
- Calls triaged by MyNurse hotline
- Minimal call volume
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- General primary care procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, etc.
- Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
- J-1 waiver sponsorship available
