Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State. In this role, the successful candidate will ensure patients obtain timely and quality care in an ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include performing initial physical examinations, patient care review, and coordination of patient care for pediatric and adult patients. Prior work experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health center setting is highly preferred. Key responsibilities include: * Providing direct clinical care to all patients assigned to the provider in accordance with applicable standards of care, FHC policies, and procedures. * Commitment to compliance and quality improvement: The provider shall participate in compliance, quality management, and performance improvement activities as requested. * FHC Customer Service Standards: The provider shall respect cultural differences, religious differences, and the individuality of internal and external customers. * PCP (Primary Care Provider) Communication: The provider shall communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare providers. * At all times, the provider shall accurately and timely complete any paperwork necessary to facilitate NYU billing and reimbursement. * The provider shall meet specialty and site-specific defined productivity expectations. * The provider will be required to participate on a rotating basis in the after-hours on-call phone coverage schedule. * The provider shall maintain certain good citizenship standards designed to optimize patient care and service and the smooth operation of the FHC. To qualify, you must have a graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a professional degree program as a Family Nurse Practitioner. You must have a current license as an APN in NYS. Previous experience managing clinical and non-clinical staff is preferred. You must have excellent oral and written skills and be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments independently. You should be able to work collaboratively with fellow physicians and other healthcare providers. A DEA license is required upon hire. Preferred qualifications include prior work experience as a primary care provider in a similar setting and familiarity in working with a predominantly Hispanic immigrant patient population. We provide a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $136,146.40 - $197,146.40 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
