The Family Office Accountant at Harwood International will oversee all accounting and finance responsibilities for select family business entities and member affairs. They will reconcile account balances and maintain general ledger procedures, and they successfully combine analytical skills with knowledge of the statutory accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. Job Functions
  • Verify and reconcile financial statements.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Prepare financial states and budget.
  • Plan, assist and review staff's work.
  • Prepare journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and accompanying schedules.
  • Assist with the completion of the annual financial review and all regulatory audits.
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
  • Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, providing information for auditors.
  • Manage weekly cash forecasting.
  • Manage credit card balance sheets.
  • Manage monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax reporting and payment for The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum.

Supervisory Responsibility Yes Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's in accounting or finance
  • 4-6 Years of experience as a senior accountant
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Familiarity of financial accounting statements
