Family Partner - First Episode Psychosis (FEP) ProgramRole ResponsibilitiesThe Family Partner provides peer support services to families with adolescents who have emotional, behavioral or mental health disorders. The Family Partner assists the parent/caregiver in becoming an advocate for the child, provides guidance in utilizing existing services and developing/organizing natural resources within the family and community. The Family Partner assumes a peer-mentoring role, engages the family in the Recovery Process, provides on-going training to the parent/caregiver to sustain success and improve outcomes for the child and family. The Family Partner can assist in the development of the Recovery Plan with strengths, needs, skills, supports and resources. The position reports directly to the FEP Team Leader. The Family Partner performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader. Must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Must have excellent engagement, time management and organizational skills. Routine hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with flexibility for schedule changes to allow for appointments outside of routine work hours. Must have reliable vehicle and transportation. Mileage paid. The Family Partner is responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of the Center compliance policy. Salary
- 90% $16.24/ hour to start
- 95% $17.15/hour at 6 mos. with satisfactory performance
- 100% $18.05/hour at 1 year with satisfactory performance
Required Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Family Partner at hire or within 6 months of hire
- Texas driver's license in good standing as defined by Texana Center's procedure
- Must be a parent of a child who is currently, or has in the past, received services from a child-serving agency for mental health related issues
- Have successfully navigated a child serving system for 2 years and be able to articulate their lived experience as it relates to care and advocacy for their child who is in a stable place in their recovery
Preferred Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
- Certified Family Partner
- Knowledge of Texana programs and resources in the Fort Bend County service area
