Job Description The Family Partner will be part of the Attleboro Family Resource Center (FRC) team working with families across Bristol County experiencing a range of issues that impact their home and family life. The Family Partner will specifically focus on supporting families with children exhibiting behaviors that meet the state of Massachusetts' definition of a Child Requiring Assistance . Position requires the ability to manage complex and competing demands in the office, in the community, and in court, on a daily basis. The Family Partner Provides support and advocacy coaching to parents and caregivers in a fast paced and changing environment. The Family Partner acts as a role model for parents and caregivers interacting with community partners and agencies to meet the identified needs of the youth and family. The Family Partner is available to work at the center during hours of operation, including evenings and Saturdays. S/he will accept and display the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Program/Department Responsibilities: Works in conjunction with FRC Clinician to complete FAST Assessment and to develop the Family Support Plan for family members dealing with CRA-related issues. Oversees implementation of Family Support Plans. Provides guidance, coaching, training, support, education, and advocacy for Parent/Caregiver with regard to interacting with their child and networking with community resources and treatment providers to meet youth's needs. Assists Parent/Caregiver in articulating youth's strengths, needs, and goals for Family Support Plan. Attends court in Taunton and Attleboro, as needed to support families and provide information about CRA Diversionary Program to court professionals, schools, DCF and families. Teams with FRC Staff to provide support to all families seeking services at the FRC. Attends FRC staff meetings weekly. Co-facilitates parent and youth groups. Conducts a minimum of weekly contact with Parent/Caregiver through office based visits and telephone. Completes daily progress notes, treatment goals and other required documentation, including data entry, in a timely manner, adhering to the highest professional standards. Requirements Lived experience or familiarity with CRA-related issues. One (1) year of experience working with the target population; or two (2) years of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth; and experience in navigating any of the child and family-serving systems. Excellent communication ( written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate cultural humility with an ability to work with diverse populations, within the community and with agency staff members. Posess basic computer skills for purposes of word processing and data entry. Flexibility and ability to respond to families under stress, and in crisis, in a fast paced work environment. Possess a current and valid driver's license, and automobile- must be able to drive daily.
