So, what will the Family Readiness Support Assistance Specialist at Terrestris do?The Family Readiness Support Assistance Specialist plays a key role in providing support and resources to military families, ensuring they have the tools and services necessary to manage the challenges of military life. This role involves assisting service members and their families with navigating available resources, offering guidance on family readiness programs, and ensuring they receive the emotional, social, and logistical support needed during deployments, relocations, and other transitions. The FRSA Specialist collaborates closely with military leadership and support organizations to enhance family readiness and resilience.What does a typical day look like for a Family Readiness Support Assistance Specialist? A Family Readiness Support Assistance Specialist's day is dynamic. The role involves offering guidance on family readiness programs, services, and available resources, ensuring that service members and their families have the tools they need to handle deployments, relocations, childcare, and other life transitions. The FRSA Specialist serves as a liaison between families and military leadership, ensuring family concerns are addressed effectively. Additionally, the specialist coordinates and implements family readiness programs such as pre-deployment briefings, family life education sessions, and family support groups, while working closely with leadership to align program activities with the needs of the families. The role also includes offering emotional and logistical support during times of crisis, such as deployment or emergencies, and providing referrals to appropriate services, including counseling, financial support, and legal assistance. The FRSA Specialist is also involved in providing training for military families on topics such as coping with deployment, financial readiness, and effective communication.What qualifications do you look for?Youmight be the person we're looking for if you have:•Bachelor's degree in any discipline and education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to assist in administrative functions as assigned. •2+ years' experience using VMIS (Volunteer Management Information System).AND•One year experience providing technical guidance and assistance in Family Readiness Support or comparable work.AND•A thorough knowledge and understanding of Army administrative procedures and practices of management.
