Job DescriptionThe FSW -Attendant Care serves a vital role in the day-to-day operations. He/she is the primary provider, in supervising and attending to the safety and daily needs of the youth, while maintaining a therapeutic environment.
- Participates in the youth's daily planning routine.
- Supervises, coaches and mentors the youth.
- Provides structure for the youth.
- Serves as an adult role model and a source of feedback to the youth.
- Always supervises and monitors youth.
- Provides positive interaction with the youth.
- Demonstrates respect and the ability to be open minded and nonjudgmental.
- Assists in the overall cleanliness of the office.
- Helps to ensure the educational needs of youth are met either through participation with online schooling or attendance at an educational institution.
- Ensures youth are engaged in activities throughout the day including going out into the community.
- Ensures youth are provided meals.
- May transport youth to scheduled appointments such as medical or mental health.
- Completes timely documentation.
- May assist with clerical duties as assigned.
- Reports critical incidents to DCF verbally within 12 hours, written within 24 hours.
- Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms. Ensures clients' rights are protected.
- Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- First Aid/CPR
- Mandt
- Prefer one-year experience with children and families.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must pass a drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and an Adult Registry Check.
- FBI Fingerprint check
- Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
- Must have valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
