Category Counselor - Masters level Description Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board is seeking a therapist who is passionate about working with children, adolescents and families who reside in the Tazewell County, VA area. Responsibilities include providing mental health therapy, case management, and crisis services to children and adolescents who reside in Tazewell County. Treatment settings include office, community, home and school-based settings. Extensive documentation requirements in order to meet regulations. Will assess service needs of assigned Seriously Emotionally Disturbed and At-risk of SED individuals receiving services, link individuals receiving services to community services, coordinate services and plans with collateral agencies and providers, monitor individuals receiving services' progress towards identified service plans, and advocate for needed resources and services for individuals receiving services. Will also provide acute counseling services to individuals receiving services.Position Requirements Master's degree in a human services field required. Virginia LPC/LCSW/LMFT licensure or licensed eligible status preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary. Good time management and organizational skills also required. Excellent computer skills necessary in order to document in electronic health record. Valid driver's license and good driving record also required. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations.
