We are a nonprofit organic farmers' cooperative of over 100 farmers in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We focus on creating healthy, high-quality foods from our highly maintained and enriched soils on our small-scale family farms. Position Summary -

This role supports the day-to-day communications between farmers and various departments within the cooperative to support daily procurement operations. The Farmer Coordinator will manage purchase orders and partner with farmers on their predicted harvests in a fast-paced environment. Monitoring inventory and assisting vendors with receiving and completing orders are significant parts of this role, and the ideal candidate will have experience delivering excellent customer service to our external partners.

What you'll be doing -

* Work with Farmer Coordinator Team Members to plan, source, and secure products from member farmers.

* Create and monitor Purchase Order traffic.

* Work with the Inventory control team to monitor and maintain inventory levels and proper inventory movement.

* Work with the wholesale team to aid sales by providing details on item forecasts and farmer field status.

* Work with customers with final invoice quantities/fulfillment concerns.

* Work with farmers with short-term planning based on current demand.

* Allocate and submit daily orders to farmers.

* Edit Purchase Orders/Orders according to daily needs.

* Work with the warehouse team to aid decision-making and respond to quality concerns and other lost fulfillment.

* Work with Vendors to place and fulfill orders.

* Provide advocacy and customer service to farmers.

Qualifications

Who you are -

* Have High School Diploma or GED.

* Have at least one year of experience in a fast-paced office environment.

* Exceptional customer service skills.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong organizational and time-management skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

* Enthusiasm for and commitment to working with farmers in the local organic food business.
