QUALIFICATIONS: - 2+ years of current or recent horse barn & equestrian experience needed- Maintain stalls, barn facilities, pastures, arenas, etc., while being comfortable operating farm equipment- Have a strong attention to detail to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals- Good feeding, nutrition and animal health skills a plus, ability to follow directions is a must- Able to work in team environment in working others in maintaining strong communication, reliability, honesty and integrity JOB DESCRIPTION: Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for qualified ranch hand for this Virginia location. This person will assist all activities related to the barn and equine operation. Looking for an individual who is hardworking and a self-starter. Daily horse care and management including turnout, cleaning stalls, watering, assist in spotting sickness and lame animals, knowing treatment or seeing an animal is rightly treated, etc. Will provide communication with owners and others to ensure proper care for horses, facilities, and inventories are in place.
