Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Be responsible for coordinating Maintenance shop activities including maintaining the Maintenance project list and assigning tasks to Maintenance Technicians.
- Work closely with the other members of the Maintenance Team to communicate priorities, project statuses and plans.
- Lead by example in following company safety rules and enforce compliance within Maintenance.
- Work with the Maintenance Team to maintain staffing levels and coordinate coverage for planned technician absences.
- Be responsible for maintaining building and grounds to provide for safe and efficient operation of the business.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain manufacturing and plant equipment for a state-of-the-art extrusion, compounding, fabrication and innovation center.
- Perform required Preventative Maintenance (PM) work.
- Schedule vendors to perform work, as required, well as lead and assist in coordination with them.
- Evaluate and install new equipment, as required.
- Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Be responsible for systems development and implementation, including preventative maintenance plans.
- Build machine modifications or system improvements for in-plant equipment and repair items.
- Identify problems, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems using blueprints, machine prints, meters and gauges.
- Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Order parts and supplies as needed.
- Give feedback and assist with cost control activities.
- Assist in maintaining a spare parts inventory, including contracts for supplies, materials and any equipment leases.
- Specify and recommend replacement or spare parts.
- Generate daily reports for Team Leads.
- Represent Company in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate required, Technical or Mechanical Degree or Certification preferred.
- Demonstrates leadership experience in directing work and communicating priorities.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a maintenance or technician role, specifically with demonstrated PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of machine controls, PLCs, compressors, chillers, pumps and mechanical drive systems.
- Experience with three-phase, single-phase and industrial electrical systems.
- Background in pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanics, as well as robotics and automation.
- Proficient in HVAC, chillers and air compressors, as well as Variable Frequency Drives.
- Education and experience with welding.
- Strong, cultured knowledge of electrical repair and preventative maintenance.
- Strong understanding of all safety regulations and procedures.
- Forklift Certification.
