Eugenia Kim, Inc. is seeking a Product Development Coordinator. The Product Development Coordinator will support in managing all aspects of the product lifecycle process from inception through production. This individual will facilitate and execute the design development with a strategic approach in meeting company margin and delivery goals. Involves collaboration with cross-functional team members and our manufacturing partners. This individual should have strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the development of all product associated with the brand
Effectively communicate and collaborate with all cross functional teams throughout the development process and into production, ensuring that quality is maintained and that deadlines are met in a timely fashion.
Manage and maintain the design team s T&A calendar to be in line with the calendar of shipping, sales, and production, and keep the design team on track with all calendar deadlines
Communicate daily with factories and fabric and trim vendors
Negotiate prices with all factories as needed to fit the margin of desired wholesale/retail prices
Create and upkeep all seasonal Factory Excels and shared costing Google Documents and Sheets
Compile and review all specs (BOMs/tech packs) for accuracy, quality and compliance prior to issuance, and afterwards passing all specs and Excels to factories
Make technical comments to factories
Manage the purchases, including creating the purchase orders, and development of all fabric and trims for design sampling
Maintain design information and product approval record in house
Source new factories and fabric/trim vendors
Coordinate collection hand off from sampling to production team
Manage and prioritize inhouse design samples made through the inhouse sample room
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in Product Development at an Accessories or Fashion company, preferably in the Luxury or Advanced Contemporary sector.
Must speak fluent Mandarin
Bachelor s Degree
Must have strong, highly advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Adobe Illustrator skills a major plus
Must live in New York Metropolitan area
Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, mathematical skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
