The Opportunity:CACI is seeking a skilled and motivated Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Engineer to our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, applied mechanics, and simulation techniques. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to the design and analysis, test, and evaluation of surface and submarine craft.
Responsibilities:- Conduct finite element analysis to evaluate and detail structural designs.
- Develop and validate FEA models using software such as Hypermesh, FEMAP, or ANSYS.
- Develop and analyze CAD models using SolidWorks
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations of analysis results for stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in FEA techniques.
Qualifications:Required:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
- 1+ years' experience with computer aided design (CAD) software, preferably with SolidWorks.
- 1+ years' experience working with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, preferably Hypermesh but also FEMAP or ANSYS.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field;
- Mechanical/Structural Engineering background.
- Exposure to ship design concepts/terminology would be a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- 1+ years proven experience in finite element analysis, ideally in a relevant industry (e.g., defense contracting, aerospace, industrial design, marine engineering).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
