This is a full-time position that is funded through 6/30/2027. Funding is likely to be extended.

Reporting to the Senior Advocacy Advisor, Food Is Medicine, you will be responsible for representing the Association with Congress and other elected officials to achieve our federal advocacy goals—including, but not limited to, securing new federal funding for food is medicine research—in support of the Association's food is medicine initiative, Health Care by Food TM. This transformative initiative will provide the large-scale clinical evidence required to help identify, support, and implement the most viable food is medicine strategies for public health insurance coverage.

Compensation
Expected pay range will be $95,000 - $105,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.

Work-Life Harmonization
The Association offers Paid Time Off (PTO) at a minimum of 16 days per year for new employees. The number of days will increase based on seniority level. You will also have a total of 12 paid holidays off each year, which includes several days off at the end of the year.
