DescriptionACHIEVE HUMAN SERVICES, INC.POSITION TITLE: JANITOR SUPERVISOR DEPARTMENT: FEDERAL CONTRACTS DEPARTMENTREPORTS TO: PROJECT MANAGER (PM) GENERAL SUMMARY Under the general guidance of the PM, the Janitor Supervisor is responsible for the overall performance of all assigned Janitor Leads; conducting weekly quality and compliance reviews with Janitor Leads; resolving discrepancies and reporting to Project Manager the status of assigned sections; completing training and certifications necessary to accomplish task to standard and complying with published procedures and regulations. Serves as primary trainer for assigned Janitor Leads and second level of Quality Control (QC). Performs other duties assigned by PM. Facilities sites include: PRIMARY: Yuma Proving Grounds (YPG) and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • All Janitor Lead primary duties and Specific Tasks.
  • Develops and implements work and cleaning schedules, ensures personnel adherence, reports deviations and personnel requests.
  • Monitors daily performance and directs and redirects personnel as needed to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Performs weekly QC check of Daily and Periodic Cleaning Schedules and submits reports to PM.
  • In conjunction with PM, generates and delivers annual employee performance evaluations and employee action plans.
  • Monitors supplies, requests necessary items to replenish stock levels and distributes supplies as necessary.
  • As a working supervisor, performs tasks within different sections on rotational basis and fills in where personnel are absent.
  • Works with Janitor Leads and PM to schedule and program Floor Care and advices PM of facility floor conditions.
  • Maintains accountability of assigned tools and equipment and submits equipment service orders to PM.
  • Attends management and operations meetings when required.
  • Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all published safety guidelines to include but not limited to posted procedures, equipment operating instructions, Safety Data Sheets and reporting safety concerns or violations to PM and or leadership.
  • Serves as second level QC, responsible for inspecting task completion standards and redirecting personnel to fix discrepancies. Reports QC status to PM.
  • Serves as primary trainer for Janitor Leads, responsible for completing all assigned training and ACHIEVE's annual and mandatory training. Assist PM in scheduling training events and delivers training to section level personnel.
  • Responsible for reporting the following to include but not limited to discrepancies, damage to equipment, damage to facilities, safety violations, and for adhering to CBP/YPG reporting procedures.

  • Physical DemandsThis position may require frequent bending, lifting, twisting, reaching over head and or standing for long periods of time. Staff must be able to walk up and down stairs and lift up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Work EnvironmentAbility to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and graveyard shifts 8:00pm - 04:30am. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • EducationAssociate's Degree preferred or two (2) years related job experience
  • ExperienceTwelve (12) months minimum of ACHIEVE Custodian/Janitor Lead experience ACHIEVE assigned leadership courses
  • OtherMust be over 21 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Must pass and maintain Background Investigation/Background Check mandated by Federal Contract requirements. Must obtain immunizations mandated by Federal Contract requirements. Must be able to obtain valid certifications for Agency compliance within 90-days of employment. Pass background check inclusive of Excluded Provider List System (EPLS) and the Health and Human Services (HHS) List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
