Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, ambitious, and self-motivatedUS Government Programs Director to join our Business Development & Sales team. In this role,you will be responsible forspearheading Apex's relationships with US Government customers and end-users, with aprimaryfocus onSpace Force customers.This role will be responsible forformulating and executing strategies to win direct US Governmentbusiness. It will also supportthe business-to-business Sales team bydrivingshaping activities and relationship building with US Government end-users.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and nurture strong relationshipswith USGovernmentprogram offices and otherUS Government stakeholders, with a focus on Space Force customers.
  • Deeply understand government customer priorities and needsin order toshape opportunities, windirect-to-governmentdeals, andsupport business-to-business subcontract deals.
  • Build a pipeline of direct-to-governmentsales opportunitiesby proactively identifying and engaging with key governmentstakeholders.
  • Develop and execute strategies to capturecomplexdirect-to-government sales opportunities.
  • Work with Apex's Sales team to supportbusiness-to-businesssubcontractsales opportunities by drivinggovernmentopportunity shaping and providing the “voice of the customer”.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, aerospace, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experiencein business development, capture,and/or program management, preferably with exposure to thespace or spacecraft.
  • In-depth knowledge of the US governmentbudgeting, requirements generation,acquisition processes.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multipleprojectssimultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional communicationandpresentationskillswith the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technicalstakeholders.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Direct experience in spacecraft orspacecraft-adjacentmarkets.
  • Prior experience in government acquisition.
  • Active TS or TS/SCI clearance.
