Examples of Duties Job duties will depend upon the nature of the function of the department that you are assigned as well as your own job skills and abilities but may include tasks such as:
  • Record Maintenance
  • Answering phones/directing callers to the appropriate person
  • Taking Messages
  • Sending e-mails
  • Mail delivery
  • Greeting students, visitors
Qualifications To be eligible for the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program a student must meet the following criteria:
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate an unmet financial need. The student's award must not exceed the unmet financial need.
  • Enrollment requirements vary.
  • Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
  • Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA.
  • Complete a Federal Work-Study Application that lists the student's skills, experience, and interests.
  • Be compliant with the rules of CFK's Student Handbook.
  • A student may not hold an FWS position and a non-FWS position at the College simultaneously without prior permission of the Director of Financial Aid.
  • No student should be promised employment by any department other than the Office of Financial Aid.
