The Company has locations throughout the Texas Panhandle, Southwest Kansas, and Eastern Colorado.

Job Description
The Feed Manager will work closely with the General Manager to manage and lead the feed department at Hale Center Feedyard. This includes monitoring cattle feed intake, quality control, employee relations, and employee training/development.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinates accurate and consistent feed delivery
* Collaborates with the company nutritionist to assess feed quality and distribution
* Maintains and monitors cattle feeding records
* Develops departmental operating budgets and manages expenses
* Ensures that all safety protocols and procedures are followed
* Minimizes feed truck downtime by scheduling maintenance/repair while developing and implementing a machinery preventative maintenance program
* Provides direction for bunk upkeep during inclement weather
* Responsible for supervising 6-8 people in the feed department
* Assists in creating a work schedule for the team
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* Undergraduate degree (preferred) or 3-5 years of related agriculture experience
* Applicants must demonstrate an ability to hire, manage, and train production employees
* Must be able to work every other weekend
* Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively with the feed team and others around the feedyard
* Prior knowledge and experience in one or more cattle production segments (cow-calf, stocker, cattle feeding) is preferred
* Strong work ethic with a coachable and teachable mentality
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different work conditions
