Position Summary:
Responsible for performing routine tasks related to the feed production including quality control, ingredient and feed processing, manufacturing and load out, ingredient receiving and storage, equipment maintenance and housekeeping. A qualified individual must possess a strong work ethic, be customer-focused, hardworking and have the desire to work as a team member.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Operate all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
* Perform necessary sequencing, recording and documenting of all feed manufactured during shift.
* Maintain accurate production and FDA records, entering data into an Excel spreadsheet.
* Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently and in a manner that ensures accuracy and high quality.
* Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning, and control for both ingredients and finished products.
* Determine proper routing and distribution for manufactured feeds to appropriate holding bins.
* Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
* Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
* Observe and enforce all company policies and procedures.
* Effectively communicate with managers, co-workers and customers.
* Maintain a professional image and provide superior customer service.
* Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Previous feed mill experience preferred.
* Agriculture/farm background preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
* Ability to bend, stoop, reach, & climb frequently.
* Ability to work in dusty conditions and all weather conditions with the required PPE to do so.
