Job DescriptionJob Summary:As a Feed Batcher, you would be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and conveying systems/types of industrial equipment for poultry feed production plant. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance using blueprints and diagrams to verify that all equipment is operating within required specifications and tolerances. May perform periodic testing and inspections, troubleshooting and repairs. This position would tentatively work a scheduled of 10am-7pm, throughout the week.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs assigned duties according to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Maintains compliance to all internal/external quality, food safety and site safety policies, regulations, standards and procedures, as designated by Trillium Management Team. Promotes a culture consistent with Trillium's Guiding Principles and Core Values. Other duties as assigned.Receiving Responsibilities Learns the material flows for receiving ingredients, reclaiming and grinding corn and the flow of ingredients through mixing and routing finished feed. Conducts pre-/post-production inspection of receiving facility. Ensures incoming ingredients are placed in the proper bin, communicates with Batching on incoming loads. Ensures that ingredient loads are entered properly into the WEM receiving system. Samples and grades all corn loads delivering to the feed mill. Ensures that corn loads are entered into the Agvision system correctly. Verifies that the information listed on the BOL matches the contents and the vehicle delivering. Ensures that receiving pit and surrounding area are clean. Loads corn trucks as needed. Assists in the drying of corn during harvest. Assist with cleaning or attending corn bin sweeping during certain times of the year in preparation for the new harvest. Assists in ensuring that all outside carriers observe the policies of the feed mill alerting the Feed Mill Manager or designee, if needed. Assists Ingredient Inspector to ensure materials meet standards and are received into the proper location. Ensures that the receiving office is kept clean. Completes required paperwork.Batching Responsibilities Learns the material flows for receiving ingredients, reclaiming and grinding corn and the flow of ingredients through mixing and routing finished feed. Conducts pre-/post-production inspection of facility. Pulls daily inventories to determine production levels. Enters loads for the day into FMS. Monitors batching system to ensure efficient operation and correct load routing. Assists Receiving Technicians and Ingredient Inspector in ensuring that incoming ingredients are sampled, inspected and placed in the proper bin. Assists the Feed Mill Manager in ensuring that a sufficient amount of ingredients are in inventory to complete the required amount of tonnage. Completes required paperwork.
