Job Description:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Each person, regardless of role or position is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality

  • Responsible for all machine feeding operations on their shift/machine.

  • Assist with make-readies.

  • Perform quality checks on the product they produce and materials coming to their machine.

  • Troubleshoot minor issues as they arise across entire press.

  • Provide a clean/safe working environment to themselves and employees in their work area.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep on production equipment.

  • Keep department in specs within all 5S requirements.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment. Can complete tasks in a timely manner to keep machine running.

  • Assess upset conditions and react in a safe and appropriate way to correct condition.

  • Report to management any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality.

  • Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions to the best of your ability.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training.

  • Safely operate Motorized Pallet Jacks, Manual Pallet Jacks, and any other equipment trained and certified on.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

  • GED/High School diploma required

  • Ability to read materials to understand and apply content, such as instruction manuals, procedure manuals or assembly manuals
