Position Summary: In two - four sentences, what are the end results or purpose of this job?

This partner acts as a back-up for the receiving/warehouse operator and control operator. Must be able to operate the automated receiving, batching and pelleting systems, organize the feed mill warehouse, and safely operate the locomotive used to move railcars. Responsible for QA assurance of all bulk, bagged and liquid products received, and finished feeds produced. Also responsible for daily housekeeping duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Sequence of Events for Job/Task

Duties and Responsibilities listed below include, but are not limited to:

* Complete daily housekeeping tasks and ensure cleanliness of all areas of feed mill.

* Ensure proper product are stored in designated places.

* Rotate stock in compliance with the warehouse rotation policy.

* Unload bulk, liquid and warehouse trucks, and rail cars and unit trains as needed.

* Operate pelleting, grinding, and batching equipment as needed.

* Obtain forklift license, weighman's license, and Trac Mobile certification.

* Be able to lift up to 60 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights up to 200 ft., and operate pallet jack.

* Class B license a plus but not required.

* Scope:

Difficulty of Duties: Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete task. For example, evaluating results and coordinating with others.

Responsibility for Confidential Information: Confidential information is regularly used. Education: Requires ability to read, write, and use basic mathematics. Knowledge acquired with less than a high school degree.

Work Experience: No previous experience is needed.

Technical Skills: Some computer skill are required.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions and policy/procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence.

Math Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and volume.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
