Job Description:
Position requires a positive attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be energetic and have excellent guest service skills, basic computer skills and a bright smile. Experience preferred. Friendly work environment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Some weekends arerequired.Candidates must pass a comprehensive background and drug screen for employment consideration.Pay: Based on Experience Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service:
    • Greet customers warmly upon arrival to the service department.
    • Answer inquiries regarding services, prices, and appointment availability.
    • Assist customers in scheduling service appointments and providing relevant information about service procedures.
    • Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary to management.
  • Cash Management:
    • Receive payments for services rendered, including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, or electronic payments.
    • Ensure accuracy in processing payments and provide customers with receipts.
    • Maintain and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
    • Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
    • Prepare bank deposits and reconcile transactions with daily sales reports.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Create and maintain service appointment schedules using computerized systems.
    • Assist service advisors and technicians by updating customer records, including vehicle information and service history.
    • File and organize paperwork related to service transactions, invoices, and customer records.
    • Assist in maintaining inventory records for parts and supplies, notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Communicate effectively with service advisors, technicians, and other staff members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of service tasks.
    • Relay important information to customers regarding service progress, estimated completion times, and any additional repairs or maintenance needed.
    • Coordinate with other departments, such as parts or sales, to fulfill customer requests or resolve issues efficiently.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, customer service, and safety protocols.
    • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and financial transactions.
    • Follow all relevant regulations and laws governing automotive service transactions and consumer rights.
  • Requirements:
  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in accounting, finance, or customer service preferred.
    • Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role, preferably in an automotive service environment.
    • Familiarity with automotive terminology and service procedures beneficial.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
    • Proficiency in basic arithmetic and cash handling procedures.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions and maintaining records.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Competency in using computerized systems and software for scheduling, invoicing, and inventory management.
