Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Fiber cutters are expected to cut fiber to meet the needs of production schedule.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must learn to read and understand daily production schedule in order to accurately produce daily requirements.
- Learn fiber types to identify different sizes for respective styles to be cut.
- Fiber cutter must be able to read a tape measure and check for correct dimensions.
- Write style numbers on the labels for each completed order.
- Must perform any other duties as instructed.
- Fiber cutter must properly mark and stack fiber on buggy for maximum quantities as related to safe handling procedures.
- Communicate with manager as needed on questions or problems that occur while performing job.
- Work closely with others to maintain team concept on a daily basis.
- Expected to maintain clean organized work area while performing an operation.
- Assist others when necessary.

- Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Always ensure proper lifting techniques: avoid bending and twisting at the waist whenever possible.
- Inspect tools and protective equipment before use daily.
- Learn the hazards of the equipment and procedures used on the job.
- Report any defective, malfunctioning, or suspicious tool, machine, or protective equipment immediately.
- Participate in safety training and safety meetings.
- Report any hazards or risks related to policies or procedures.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Basic reading and writing skills required.
- Ability to read, understand and communicate with other employees and management.
