Job Description:

The Fiber Installation Technician will be the main interface for subscribers in residential communities. The main responsibility of the Fiber Installation Technician will be to install the proper internet, tv or home phone equipment in each home and convert residential homebuyers into Centric Fiber customers This position will work very closely with Centric Fiber Sales Representatives regarding appointment scheduling and sales opportunities.

Customer & Technical Service Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer assistance, education and information on services, customer equipment and products.
  • Promote marketing and sales efforts during each customer and potential customer contact.
  • Take appropriate action to expedite workflow to consistently meet customer appointments and company commitments.
  • Interface with customer and technical service departments to collaborate on subscriber issues, develop troubleshooting and corrective action plans, work scheduling, and ticket clearing.
  • Support customer owned integrations/connectivity e.g., troubleshooting Alexa devices, TV WiFi connectivity, laptop connectivity, etc.
  • Install, service, disconnect, change, or reconnect telephony and modem equipment, serving customer residences.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with all applicable company procedures and in compliance with all municipal, state, and federal laws and guidelines.
  • From time-to-time report back to operations on the status of community development activities e.g., home build inventory, construction status, closing dates, etc.
  • Participate in community and company social media outlets monitor company commentary, respond to complaints and accolades, monitor community happenings.
  • Practice and uphold all company safety standards, inclusive of COVID-19 safety measures when servicing a subscribers home.
  • Implement and adopt policies, procedures, and reports to assist Centric in growing efficiently.
  • Implement and adopt policies, procedures, and reports to assist Centric in strengthening safety standards.
  • Attract key new hires and building the Centric Fiber team in conjunction with Centric Fibers President.
  • Perform on call before/after-hours phone support as scheduled.
  • Work assigned office coverage shifts assisting with sales and/or tech support as scheduled.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of related telecommunications or mass media experience.
  • Prefer related experience in a small office environment.
  • Proven track record of building customer relationships, with the ability to earn customer loyalty.
  • Up to 100% local market travel and initial new hire orientation in Texas for up to 5 days.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer college-level training in telecommunications or mass media
