Role Description The Fiber Solution Specialist will be responsible for managing technical engagements with internet service providers exploring use of Harmonic's fiber to the home portfolio. The resource will contribute to definition of the sales strategy and lead tactical execution of any associated deliverables to win business, including conducting onsite lab trials or qualifications. Location Remote - this position is 100% remote for candidates within the United States What you will be doing:
  • Achieve quarterly and annual fiber product sales goals; supporting Harmonic's aggressive revenue and customer satisfaction initiatives
  • Work closely with Sales, Pre Sales, and Product leaders to ensure that coverage and activity matches the business need
  • Develop strong relationships with client's key technical leadership, operational teams, and engineering groups
  • Hands on system installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of fiber to the home ecosystems including the Core, Router, OLT, and ONU for customer labs, qualification efforts, testing, and new feature development or validations.
  • Working knowledge of platforms for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring that need to successfully interoperate with Harmonic cOS for an operator to deploy Harmonic's fiber to the home solution
  • Understanding of the broader fiber to the home ecosystem, including the value generated, to facilitate commercially informed dialogs on opportunities and features
  • Use of Harmonic's standardized applications (e.g. SalesForce, JIRA, Confluence) to optimize the execution of the position deliverables
What you should have:
  • BS/BA in Engineering or related technical field. A minimum of 10 years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required within the market sectors and accounts targeted.
  • Strong customer facing and relationship management skills with appropriate negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop creative tactical sales positioning and solution selling methods to suit demanding sales situations
  • Talent simplifying complex engineering problems, challenges, and solutions into eloquent and concise presentations
  • Extensive experience navigating technical sales cycles for fiber to the home solutions, and presenting associated technical material as needed
  • In depth knowledge of fiber to the home standards such as those that may pertain to 25GS, 10G EPON, XGS PON, GPON, BBF, or CableLabs
  • Practical working knowledge of common toolsets for configuration, management, and monitoring of Harmonic cOS or OLT's including but not limited to CLI, SNMP, NETCONF, RESTCONF, DOCSIS, Telemetry, Kafka
  • Executive presence working effectively as part of an account management team
  • Ability to build relationships with all functions and areas within the company, customers, and across the industry
Pay & Benefits For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $120,000 - $160,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. Travel Enthusiasm, ability and willingness to travel extensively (~50-75%) to work on challenging client opportunities.
