DCT Fiber Technician (SMF/MMF)!
CONTRACT FOR 35 DAYS STRAIGHT. OVER-TIME INCLUDED!!!!
8 HOURS A DAY SUN-SAT
$1,920+/WEEK
We're looking for a Fiber Technician with experience in installing, testing, and certifying fiber optic cabling in a fast-paced data center environment. If you're detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to work with cutting-edge technology, this role is for you!
What You'll Do:
- Clean, inspect, patch, and certify fiber optic cabling
- Install and handle preterminated fiber optic cables and connect them to High Performance Compute (HPC) systems
- Test cabling using Certification Tier I Loss test equipment and fiber optic scopes
- Follow Data Center cabling standards and best practices to ensure smooth operations
What We're Looking For:
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with fiber optic cabling and testing
- Knowledge of fiber optic cable and connector types
- Data center experience is a must
- Ability to follow a provided scope of work, stay on schedule, and communicate clearly with your team
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and quality work
Requirements:
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on a ladder for extended periods
- Comfortable sitting, standing, kneeling, or walking for long durations
- Availability for evening, weekend, and overtime shifts as needed
