Field Agronomist Manager

Gpac has partnered with a company in the area looking to fill the role of a Field Agronomist Manager. This role has direct responsibility for all activities that occur within location seed production fields, while also directly supervising seed harvest operations at the facility. They are responsible for working with seed growers to maximize the number of finished units produced that also meet all quality specifications.

Field Agronomist Manager responsibilities include:

• Managing grower contracts
• Agronomic recommendations and scouting
• Oversight of 4,000K grower acres roughly in the area
• Oversight of day to day field operations
• Manage a small production crew
• Ensuring that all field equipment is maintained properly to minimize in-season downtime
• Monitoring stored bulk seed to ensure that seed quality is maintained. Aerates bins as necessary.

Field Agronomist Manager ideal candidate will have:

• A 4-year college degree in Agriculture preferred but no mandatory
• Computer skills required
• Understanding of seed production or minimum of four years of related experience
• Excellent communications skills with positive attitude

Comp:

• $70K-$85K base up to 20% profit sharing potential
