Position Overview

The Field Automation Engineer will play a crucial role in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of automated systems across the company's production facilities. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with industrial automation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and robotics.
  • Develop and implement control strategies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate new automation solutions.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on automated equipment.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of automation systems, including schematics, manuals, and maintenance logs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in automation technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and other industrial control systems.
  • Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems and robotic integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to travel to various production sites as needed
  • Anticipating annual travel between 50-75%.
