Job Overview: Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Field Construction Coordinator to join our Electrical Operations team in Oneonta, NY. Responsibilities & Duties: Field Construction Coordinator services include but are not limited to the following: Work with Construction Managers managing the construction of electric substations, distribution lines, generation upgrades, and other projects Execute work orders and inspections Supervise contractors and make sure projects are being completed correctly Establish and Manage construction materials and review material plans Maintain Safety Awareness and ensure all contractors comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment at the construction site Manage activities related to coordination of field inspection and sign-offs for construction projects. Collaborate with management staff to resolve problems and coordinate activities with the Construction Managers and Field Construction Managers. Make sure projects and all construction resources are within the allowed scheduled and budget Adhere to company policies, programs, and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), New England Independent System Operator Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of five (5) years' experience in progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management Two (2) years of college is preferred Work in a team environment. Good working knowledge through actual use of MS Office products including Excel, Access, Word and MS Project. Basic knowledge of various electric utility assets and equipment. Knowledge of SAP is a plus. Ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences both in writing and verbally. Ability to interact effectively with other groups within the Company organization. Must have extensive knowledge in construction and maintenance of Utility equipment, including but not limited to transmission and distribution systems, underground networks, and substations. Extensive knowledge of electric utility industry materials and equipment is a must. Able to assess the health of Utility assets and equipment as they relate to the utility inspection program. Capable of moderate to extensive travel, with some overnight stays, to various locations within RGE/NYSEG franchise area. Able to physically walk distribution lines or remote transmission right of ways. Experience in interaction with contractors and assessing their work. Perform QA/QC and Program Management duties as directed by the client. Must have current US Work authorization and valid US Driver's License in good standing Must be a resident of New York or able to relocate to the New York area The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets.
