Field DispatcherDepartment: Drayage Operations Employment Type: Full Time Location: Grove City, OH Reporting To: Terry Carswell Compensation: $48,300 - $69,037 / year Description As the Field Dispatcher, you will plan freight, maximize driver utilization, and solve problems to help us deliver outstanding logistics solutions to our customers. - Communicate with customers, potential customers, owner-operators, and core carriers.
- Plan and execute customer deliveries.
- Administrative duties which align with each assigned shift
- Proactively communicate with customers on potential service failures and create action plans to avoid issues in the future.
- Execute legging/street turn/empty repositioning functionality in Rail Optimizer
- Manage equipment, including chassis and containers.
- Maintain proper records and ensure information was executed correctly and on time.
- Shifts are subject to change at any time.
What you'll have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
- One year of experience in operations or dispatch environment
- Two years of logistics or transportation experience
- Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
