Overview Specializes in advanced voice and data communications technical principles, theories and concepts. Works independently or in a team setting, coordinates and manages activities, advises the project leads, vendors and contractors for new voice communications builds, office moves, remodels, equipment upgrades, capitol deploy and new system installs for voice/data networks and LAN, MAN and WAN. Coordinates and Implements ongoing activities needed to install and upgrade the critical voice and data equipment in our Field, Corporate and Data Center locations. Responsibilities Configures network equipment supporting the Branches, Corporate offices and Data Centers in order to maintain company standards and policies, ensure connectivity and minimize disruption to end users. Creates project schedules, tasks list and resources required to complete projects (e.g. office moves/remodels, equipment upgrades, new system installs, etc.) effectively and efficiently while maintaining maximum uptime. Independently identifies, defines, and develops technical requirements for complex business initiatives that advance Paychex business objectives in all Field Office and Data Center facilities to ensure voice and data communications requirements are met. Applies expertise to ensure that requirements and specifications are achieved at best price and highest quality. Engineers the design of voice and data communications equipment spaces for phone systems, servers and network equipment to ensure Industry as well as company standards are met. Manages installation and conducts visual inspections of voice communications and data network systems to ensure adherence to industry and company standards. Provides advanced and immediate technical response to independently troubleshoot and repair issues with office desktop PC's, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices to minimize disruption of voice and data services in all Field and Corporate locations. Installs, tests and implements monitoring of UPS, generator and HVAC equipment; completes preventative maintenance and coordinates backup systems testing to ensure continuous operation of systems critical to the business, including in the event of an outage. Prepares complete and concise documentation for all projects to ensure appropriate transfer of knowledge. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science, or Business or Electrical Engineering - Preferred 8 years of experience in Related field. Strong experience in implementation and design of cable, power, and technology infrastructure. Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $83,510 -$120,510. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
